Economic Connections // Singapore before 1819 by Germaine Ng Yi Ning
Temasek before 1819 was a prosperous trading port. People from other countries like China and Malaysia came to Singapore for trading purposes. Due to the flourishing trading port, there were wars around Temasek as pirates was jealous and they wanted to loot goods from traders.
Key Point: Chinese brass coins, porcelain compass, ceramics shows Temasek's economic connections.
